Reporting To:

The Accounting Specialist is reporting to the Manager – Accounting & Finance

Job Duties

• Assess budgets, control expenses, and communicate with departmental leaders to stay abreast of spending, budgeting, reports, and evaluation.

• Maintain an accurate and complete trail of supporting documentation for all activities.

• Understand on the content and accuracy of financial reporting.

• Ensure that all month-end financial duties and resulting financial reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

• Record all business transactions, process accruals and adjustments, reconcile accounts, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and financial statements.

• Maintain year-end working papers and spreadsheets, and assist with preparation for any internal or external audits or independent reviews being conducted

• Collect, interpret, and report on financial data.

• Prepare financial statements and bank reconciliations.

• Process and enter invoices for payment, match invoices with purchase orders, and check for accuracy.

• Prepare monthly submissions for accounting and monthly remittances.

Job Requirements

• Advanced level of job-related integrity and excellent work ethic

• Ability to work individually as well as part of a team as a team player.

• Degree or diploma in business, finance, accounting field

• At least, 1-2 years of experience in the accounting and financial industry

• Ability to analyze numerical data utilizing various forms of tables, spreadsheets, and other tools. (Excel spreadsheet skills are highly recommended)

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting rules, (ASPE, IFRS), Income tax laws (T1&T2), and related reporting requirements.

• Ability to understand and calculate financial terms such as discounts, interest rates, proportions, percentages, ratios, and taxes. budgets, and internal controls. etc.

• Basic knowledge of accounting systems, ERP systems.

• Be Meticulous with numbers/ Deep Attention to detail.

• Superb Time management skills.

• Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.

• Bilingualism in English and Korean is a strong asset
